The Official 2020/21 Premier League Thread

Was thinking about whether Lookman might be a useful squad player for us, replacing Lamela or Moura. Home grown and youngish (23) - probably available for relatively low fee given he hasnt been a huge success at Leipzig. Wouldnt want him as the main back-up for Son/Bergwin but if we have 4 wide men in the squad, having him as the 4th might not be a disaster

He is a real talent, as you say buy him when they go down, probably no more than £20m better than Lamela & Moura

He is miles better than them
And a genuine impact player
 
Fulham played well v us, bloke who hadn't scored from open play for a year heads in an equaliser. Fulham played very well v Chelsea and the same bloke missed a sitter from 7 yards that would have put them 1-0 up. They go down to 10 men and lose 0-1. Fulham play well again tonight, miss some very good opportunities and lose 1-2. Fulham could easily have had 7 points from 3 games and yet end up with 1. We get 1pt and Chelsea/Utd. get 3 each. Fine margins...

Indeed. Hard to say that some of it isnt our own fault though. Fulham arent a good team and were there for the taking. I worry that we have a gap opening up in front of us, others playing well and we're going into a tough. We need to stay in touch over the coming month, and then take advantage of easier (on paper) run of games.

Winning the Brighton and West Brom games are hugely important given they're in between games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Man C. Winning those 2 and then getting 3 draws against our rivals would be a decent outcome IMO
 
Mee making a mess of it then Origi making a bigger mess of the chance.
Liverpool haven't looked like scoring besides that.
