Here's some sportswashing in boxing that will bring you all the Fury Joshua fight.
This is also the gang Troy Parrott's mate's father runs operations for.

Daniel Kinahan: A different story on the global stage?

Daniel Kinahan has been in the news a lot lately and it has little to do with his leadership of the most profitable organised crime group in Irish history.

Continues...

‘Living in denial’

So is Kinahan’s campaign working? “US boxing writers tend to focus more on the sport itself rather than the external parts. To me, it’s living in denial but is sadly the way of life on this side of the pond,” said American journalist with the Boxing Scene website, Jake Donován.

“As long as there is in-ring activity, most don’t seem to care how it occurs,” said Donován, one of the apparently few people on the international boxing scene willing to speak about Kinahan on the record. “In the sense that people are so willing to look the other way for [big fights] you can say that, yes, their plan is working.”

Donován’s view is reflected in recent events. Last week KHK, a sports company founded by the Prince of Bahrain hired Kinahan as a special adviser. Around the same time promoter Bob Arum, who has worked with Mohammed Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, effusively praised Kinahan’s morals and abilities.

The icing on the cake came on Thursday when MTK, Kinahan’s former company which said it cut ties with him in 2017, announced it was partnering with him and KHK to stage bouts in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Kinahan’s fans continue to defend him.

“I’ve no idea what reputation he’d need to mend because all I’ve read appears to be media propaganda which seems to serve a purpose of fulfilling an agenda and selling newspapers,” said Richard O’Donnell, one of his most vocal online defenders.

“He has had his name dragged through the mud by the sensationalist media and quite frankly it’s disgusting.”

Interesting, hadnt heard half that stuff before. I don't think he has the profile to get Fury Joshua organised but wouldn't surprise me to see lots of middle men involved trying to get a cut.

Fury-Wilder III on Boxing Day in Australia?
Reports suggest that the third Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder heavyweight fight could take place at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium in Australia on 26 December.

"We are flexible around the timing, but if we did it at 1:30pm on Boxing Day, it would be beamed back into the States on Christmas night," Australian promoter Dean Lonergan told The Sydney Morning Herald.

For British fans, the fight would be aired around 2:30am (GMT) on Boxing Day.

The idea isn't as far fetched as you think - WBC champion Fury's co-promoter Bob Arum has worked with Lonergan before, notably when Filipino Manny Pacquiao travelled to Brisbane in 2017 and was surprisingly beaten by Jeff Horn.

Fury's career - a remarkable story - has often been compared to the Rocky Balboa films. Should this fight, date and location come to fruition, it would have striking similarities to Rocky IV, when Balboa took on Ivan Drago in Russia on Christmas Day.

Meanwhile, it seems Fury is already in the Christmas spirit, the 'Gypsy King' was in a giving mood this past week as he surprised this young fan on Instagram…

o_O.......similarities so striking it'll be taking place on a different day, on a different continent.

Joshua v Fury looks goer.....not once but twice!

Got to say I'm not a fan of this newfound trend for announcing multi-fight agreements ahead of time. What if one of them blows the other away in a round or two? It's already caused an issue with the unnecessary Fury/Wilder 3rd fight.

Or have promoters just completely given up trying to hide that money totally trumps the sporting side of things...?

I agree it’s crap

what’s the incentive for any other boxer who now has to wait a year or more to fight Either?

Agree too. If it’s for a title the organisation should be able to do something about it, but as always the guaranteed money will win.
Boxing has turned into cinema in lacking new ideas, causing unnecessary sequels, crossovers and reboots with the old fighters coming back.
