I can't even believe Khan is considering taking on Mayweather, it's ridiculous to think he has a chance, especially with his glass jaw, Khan is a great fighter, but he is nowhere near Mayweather's level. he talks about using his speed, and that's his gameplan, so is this the same speed he used when he got KO'd by Danny Garcia? Khan should do a rematch with Garcia before even thinking to go on and challenge Mayweather.

The temptation to test yourself against one of game's all time greats is far too strong i guess, anyone in a similar position would most likely accept the challenge also.
Mayweather will fight Garcia next at Welterweight I expect if Garcia is willing to move up a weight. Doubt Floyd would come down to LW anymore.
Khan doesn't even deserve to be talked about when discussing these big fights, Mayweather would destroy him, there is talk of it happening in London next year but I'd much rather see Floyd against Garcia.

Khan would never be able to live with Mayweather because he: a) Has a glass chin and is totally unable to take a punch and b) is so undisciplined when it comes to defence or strategy. Mayweather would knock Khan out within 6-8 rounds and Mayweather doesnt have a massively high KO % over recent years as he has taken on many 'Blue Chip' fights.
I knew he would win Saturday and was delighted to see it. I am not normally a fan of someone with such bravado but he always and I mean always, does what he says he will do. He is also the finest boxer technically and in a defensive sense that I have ever seen. Would love to see him fight Khan over here at the O2 or even at say Wembley Stadium. It would definitely be a massive fight in terms of box office appeal and be another part of his overall legacy.
Can't see Bradley fighting him but maybe the winner of Alexander/Khan will be the next opponent. One possible could be Marcos Maidana if he overcomes Broner although I think there is no way that Broner himself would ever agree to fight Mayweather. Khan might well have the edge on speed as he is quick but Alexander is very durable and can take a punch. His only loss was against Tim Bradley who beat Pacquaio and he does have good names on his CV in the recent past.
My personal thought is that is likely to go to the cards as Alexander doesn't have a massive KO count overall, especially recently but he can can take a punch and hasn't been knocked out. I would maybe lean towards Khan as he knows a defeat would likely derail hopes of fighting Mayweather.
It was classic. Froch should win this with relative ease but I am concerned that his anger might possibly cloud his judgement. I would agree with his thinking that Groves has been a little bit disrespectful over the last 6 months considering they fight out of the same stable and to be calling Froch out like he has as well as helping Kessler with his preparations to fight Froch is a little bit naughty to my mind.
As long as Froch doesn't look past Groves, trains properly and doesn't get motivated by the wrong variables such as wanting to teach him a lesson then Froch will win by way of a late KO or on points.
Mayweather keeps himself in perfect shape as well, never puts on more than 2/3 lbs between the weigh in and fight whereas others often put on 10-15 lbs. I've read he doesn't drink and runs 5-10k and trains pretty much every single day so that he's always ready to fight.
I think he will fight Khan, Bradley and Garcia before he retires.

Boxing - Lennox Lewis in talks over $100m Klitschko fight
Lennox Lewis says he is in talks to come out of retirement to fight a Klitschko brother for $100 million.
....The 48-year-old Briton, who was the last undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, was offered $50m (£31.3m) by promoters to fight again as he watched Wladimir Klitschko’s world title defence Alexander Povetkin at the weekend.
That figure was on his mind the last time he considered a return to the ring, but he would now expect double that.
"I said at the time that it will take $50million to get me out of my pyjamas but now I have to consider the value of my legacy of having retired as undisputed champion," was quoted as saying by the Mail.
"That will cost them $100million."
Lewis is certainly talking a good fight at the moment after having told the Telegraph that he would still be able to knock out Tyson Fury. Fury then launched into a Twitter tirade over the claim, but Lewis appears ready to back his words up in the ring, telling the Mail that he would return to professional boxing – for the right money.
"($100m) is my price tag and it is under discussion," Lewis said.
"I have told them I can be ready in six months and I am in provisional training.
"I am already under 300lb (around 50lb shy of his fighting weight)."
The 6’5” Lewis retired in 2004 after a 16-year professional career that was preceded by five years as an amateur, which saw him win Olympic gold at Seoul in 1988.
Lewis quit the sport after retaining multiple world titles against Vitali Klitschko in June 2003, initially promising to fight on but later backtracking. His record stands at 42-2-1, and he is widely regarded as the last great heavyweight.
The Klitschko brothers have since gone on to dominate the division, which has declined in popularity due to a relative lack of talent, and the emergence of Mixed Martial Arts.
Of the two Klitschko brothers, Lewis said he would prefer to fight Wladimir, having already proved himself against Vitali.
"I beat Vitali so I would like to fight the other brother but we’ll see how it works out. I want to bring back the Sweet Science to heavyweight boxing," he said.
Lewis was ringside for Wladimir’s victory over Povetkin, who was knocked down four times, but having watched the fight at close quarters, he left rather underwhelmed.
"In a way this fight confirmed my disappointment with the state of heavyweight boxing right now," he said. "The best I could find to challenge Wladimir was a kid who is not fully developed either physically or in terms of experience.
"People paid a lot of money in expectation of a great fight but Povetkin was not properly prepared for the most important fight of his career.
"Wladimir should have gone for the knockout after putting him down four times but I think he missed having [the late] Manny Steward in his corner. Manny would have told him what he told me when I fought Vitali - to go in and finish him.
"I suspect Wladimir had a problem with his right hand because as the fight went on he didn’t use it that often. But having said that he showed great movement, was very light on his feet and was never in danger of losing."...

Good night of boxing and MMA last night, I was flicking between the UFC and Boxing all night.
Brook looking very good. The Alexander back and forth earlier in the year wasn't very good for his career and image in the States, looks like he will need to go over there and chin him if he wants to be champ. He just needs to be able to make the fight now unless they go another route.
Joshua is a beast, as long as they take good care of his development and the first 10 fights of his career we could have a future world champ on our hands.
Eddie Hearn is no mug, both Brook and Joshua are in good hands.
UFC was a bit hit or miss, couple of good fights though. I was looking forward to the Pearson vs. Gulliard fight for ages, dodgy end which was a shame. Machida at 185 looks good, get him in the cage with ViTRTor soon and watch the sparks fly. Hated the BT Sport coverage, was terrible, if there's one thing the UFC do well it's production and their analysis.
On a sidenote, last week Cain was a monster, JDS is easily the best the UFC can throw at him at the moment with him and Cormier being mates so unless Werdum can "Fedor" him I see no one taking the belt off him any time soon.
Next BIG fight is GSP vs. Hendricks, GSP is awesome but would love to see Hendricks drag him into a brawl, won't happen though, would like to see Johnny take the belt.

Me too, Just for the simple reason that he always comes to win a fight by knock out even though he has great wrestling.. something GSP stopped doing a long time ago. They showed a trailer for it last night where GSP is standing there showing off some spinning roundhouse kicks etc and all I kept thinking was when was the last time we saw that GSP?
PS. Good win for Machida last night, be interesting to see where he goes from here.
