Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I suspect that adding 30p to food items will make a proportion of fans not bother, so Spurs will make the same amount or less money from food, whilst increasing anger.

It is a £10k issue with TERRIBLE optics, in a business that spunks £10m up the wall willy nilly.

Choose your battles Daniel. Make the food good value, then people will come in, and buy beer, and enjoy their outing at the stadium, and come again, win win.

It's the Laffer Curve for pies. When will they ever learn.

Of course, we understand that globally costs have increased enormously. We know that the impact of Brexit on supply has been highly detrimental in many ways, including financially. We also understand that the pandemic has meant that labour patterns have changed and that the Club, along with everyone else, has felt the brunt of these price hikes.

.

Of course we understand but it will not stop us from bitching about it, it's what we do.

Anybody else notice randoms in their section all of a sudden since the new standing rules came in? The seat next to me had two people stood in front of it last match and the seat in front was occupied by some lad and his girlfriend. Stewards seem to have stopped checking tickets on the way in. Some might find that standing in the space paid for by somebody else might not be that safe.....

Is it not just ticket share?

COVID plus crappy kick-off times obviously don’t help but some better quality furniture in the next 2 transfer windows might help… and if Conte could work the miracle of getting us into that 4th CL spot…

While demand to watch Spurs has clearly dropped, the optics look worse here as we publish the number of fans through the turnstiles instead of ‘tickets sold’ as other PL clubs do.

Yep
It’s daft really
I saw an article the other day claiming empty seats were a loss for the club
Yet I knew of at least 4 season ticket holders who hadn’t gone to some of those games but of course, had paid already

The only way it is a loss is if each fan spends on average (say) £10 or £20 or whatever when attending a game.

Demand for Cup tickets has clearly waned massively though.... Sales for the Brighton game look pretty woeful so far.

Think you have to take into account for that game it being 8pm on a Saturday night with no trains from some areas going north of London and reduced services where they are running. I'm not suggesting it would sell-out otherwise (unless we had some stellar new signings to show-off :)) but there are extenuating circumstances for that example.

Hopefully we will start to see fewer empty seats in general as covid restrictions are lifted, especially if we stay in the mix for top 4.

Strange time for a kick off though

Worry is COVID has broken the habit for a lot of people. They've found other things to spend their time/money on and are now doing something else or being pickie about what games they attend, safe in the knowledge they'll be able to get a ticket.Stupid scheduling just exacerbates that two blank weeks and then three home games in one, that's a difficult to swing with all other commitments. International travel restrictions are still not helping. We miss the Koreans badly. Hope Sonny remains the draw he is and with us until they return, otherwise we might have to make another popular Korean signing....................
