We want a good passer, that isn't Bergvall. Bergvall potentially has utility long term and as an option but he shouldn't be out starting CM, he's lacking a bit too much currently.

I'm happy either way, if he stays and develops or we sell him and reinvest the money. I'm fine with either option.
Fernandes is the passer. In a double pivot you tend to pair them with a runner e.g. Tonali or Bergvall (or Sarr, Gallagher etc)

Tonali is rounded unlike Bergvall, he can run but he can also pass. A bit like my critique last season, we should never be trying to rely on a. Singular player to perform all of a specific action. If we want passing quality then we need to have as much of that spread throughout the team as possible.

I know you've never actually watched Tonali because you seem unaware that he actually has a very good passing game.

I don't believe in Lankshear, if you read my post I said he's an unknown for me in terms of ability. Honestly I doubt Lankshear will reach those levels mainly because as fan base we love to overrate our young players massively but other people who have actually watched him claim otherwise. I haven't so he's an unknown quantity for me.

I've only seen Lankshear play at youth level and a few TV games for struggling teams. His one outstanding ability is to be in the right place to score, he would have struggled in our team last year as we never managed to get the ball in the box. We'll never know how effective he'll be until he's given a chance, I'd certainly be more confident of him scoring than Richarlson as he seems a better finisher.

So you don't rate Mbappe, Dembele, Doue, Saliba, Kante, Hazard, B DSilva etc etc etc?

Depay and Lacazette - goal machines in France hit and miss at best in PL

Pepe at Arsenal

Seri at Fulham (record signing?)

James/Lemar/Martial - big money signings that didn't live up to price tags

Our selection of superstars from French league Ndombele/Moura/RKM etc

It's a poor league to buy from, Spurs especially

If someone is actually offering us 20 million as rumoured, sell him with a buy back option.

The names you mention just suggest that if we looked at the stats I'm fairly certain we'd find just as many successes as there are underwhelming or failures (that's also the case with PL moves).

I don't think Ligue 1 is any worse a league to buy from and given the sheer number of signings made from there I'd argue it's one of the better places to buy from due to the sheer number of high quality players they are constantly churning out.
