I can’t comment on the beat a man thing because I haven’t see that in the coaching videos
I do know Sonny wide last week put in as good a cross as you would see and he also put a great ball in today that Johnson should at least hit the target with
Not sure what game Sonny has turned around for us though. I think you may mean Brentford when he got the two assist but should have scored when in one on one twice and panicked if we’re honest
Today he didn’t beat his man once or hit the target with a shot though and played the whole 100 minutes
I’d argue that they are similar players in that they don’t beat their man but the key is Johnson does the attack the cross that son doesn’t do
Son still reverts back son shooting from range and trying his worldies. When they go in they are great. But when they don’t it’s an accumulation of shots that don’t work
We need variety and that’s why I made the comment earlier that I assume Odobert was brought but I have no idea if we even see him fit this season. We also have Moore who can do thag on the left who has some illness that’s taken him out for a couple of weeks
Werner beat his man but the balls weren’t great. I know we have have club for him but he does the job on the left that’s asked for apart from finishing as we all know
If we fix the left side which we need too
Then an option right can be prioritised

Romero is the only CB who can pass if we’re honest and he is top notch at that
Bug he is weak against crosses and also just goes mad every now and then
VDV is weka in the air and ok ish with the ball but has elite pace
Neither player deals with crosses and that’s a strength, comparatively where Dragusin helps but he can’t pass like Romero
As I say a big concerns is the lack of rest time for Porro and destiny. Both look broken and to see Porro (who is our best passer) lose the ball 26 times in varying ways is a huge worry for me
That’s a lack of options but also Ange not trying others enough
I do think out injuries have hit certain areas en mass which agent helped either
We have a young defence and it’s a problem. There isn’t a leader there either

He is exceptional. I’m not his biggest fan. If think he causes us so many issue defensively that if we had a better out and out defender who can pass decently it would be bettee
But I think he is the best CB passer in the world. None get beat him here or Spain from what I’ve seen and in Italy CBs pass very differently

But he jumps like he doesn’t want to win a header and I think he doesn’t realise that if he leaves his man he has to tell someone

I don't see it tbh, he's decent on my book. But maybe I've been spoiled with Jan and Toby.

When we are competent we look good and no one comments
Today we were shocking
I have always said judge after the first 10 games
Before today it was wow..win and we can go third

Weirdly despite a result like today we are still in the same boat 3 points would put us third (of course results will happen on t(e mean time and we okay city)
Seems to be a season where no teams are consistent other than pool

But back on the subject if defending I think we need a leader in there. I dont see in the current first choice 4. Wh8 is VVD or Terry or Matic? None of our crop.
I do believe we need time. No matter who is in charge the sawed needs investment and experience.
People don’t like it and some don’t agree but Poch needed time here with a lot of players well bedded in before hand

Sons cross that game was outstanding and so was the desire of Johnson and solanke to attack the cross
He also was starting to play well at that point before being subbed. Bu5 the whole team upped their game that half
Today he was drifting again, showed his control issues again and shooting from range. He was trying for sure and may well still be unfit but were crying out for a player who will stay wide there and cross, cross, cross and hit the back post for the ball coming the other way
Sonny if we are counter attacking will still be a top threat. I could see him being a brilliant impact sub in games were ahead in
I personally dont care about taking your man on if you still deliver in the key metrics.
I fancy us in the cups. Said it from day one.

Sacking Ange would be stupid. We need to learn from sacking a bunch of good managers previously, especially since history tells us we’ll lurch to somebody with a completely different philosophy who wants to sign a whole new team of players. We’ve gone into the season 3 senior players short. It is showing after Europa games.

Obviously today was bad and unacceptable. But if we’re serious about a rebuild and Ange is the manager we’ve chosen to lead that rebuild then he needs this season and next for sure.
And now that we’ve got a good infrastructure within the club hierarchy I don’t think Levy being trigger happy is going to happen. Ange will go when the likes of Lange and Munn no longer have faith in him.
There does need to be a post mortem though on why we are so inconsistent ((or maybe why we are so consistent when it comes to being the gift that keeps on giving, depending how you look at it).

The caveat is he must be properly supported across the board. I want to believe Daniel is stepping back and letting Munn/Lange do their thing, but a nagging part of me says that because he ultimately signs the checks, if fans get twitchy then Daniel could get twitchy too.

One of the big issues we have right now is that Porro has played a ton of football and is knackered. Pod mate pointed out Udogie has played even more than Porro. Key positions for our style yet we have beaten those two into a fatigue hole. We really need to get Spence playing and fast, because he is the only natural alternate. When Destiny and Pedro are as overplayed as they currently are, the knock-on for Son and Johnson is massive.

The reason our full-backs are knackered is that we have a manager who doesn't care enough about clean sheets. I've said this since day 1 of Ange walking into the club.

Defending at football is a really easy concept. There is a GK who is protected by 2 or 3 centre halves as the first line of defence. There are 2 full-backs and 2 centre mid who are second line of defence protecting the centre halves who are protecting the keeper. It's a very simple system and how you plan your team tactics. The further you keep the opposition away from your keeper the less likely you are to concede.

If you keep a clean sheet then you draw or probably win. Why does Ange think so differently from the other managers?

But we do see evidence of repeated moves and set pieces, demonstrating that there is a plan. Is the plan not good enough, considering that Ange there is only one way to play, or has Ange coached the initiative out of the players? Maybe they have become uncreative as they try to stick to the script no matter what.
