Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Football players moaning about working hard in training what a surprise, that happens at every club.

Can you imagine having the thought process that it will be your turn soon to be the injured one. It's part of the process and goes with the salary. I mean, everyone is going to be injured in this setup. It's just normal under this regime. Apparently, your body gets stronger eventually and you become more robust. Just trust the process.

Now a personal trainer would just say, let's get that must stronger and robust without the injuries right?

This is the dangerous stuff. The leaks. The 'player power'.

He's dead .. everyone knows it at this point.

Cycle
- Manager is in no danger
- Manager has club backing (via friendly media)
- Same friendly media published first article about alternates (next manager) last week
- Main media starts asking "is manager to blame" (regardless of conclusion)
- Player leaks
- manager fired

Everyone has seen this fudging movie before, unfortunately.

It's just timing, Leicester/Europa/2nd leg, pick your poison or depending on a really bad result.

I'm not convinced there are any player leaks here. Without a name/names it is all too easy for a journalist to just make that story up and post it as gospel.

A medical and fitness team leak wouldn't surprise me if they feel they are being spacegoated by the coaches for the state of the squad.

Would I be surprised if our senior pros camps are raising concerns with the club over the welfare of their clients. Not at all. It could easily come out publicly by that circle. Not the players themselves though.

Hmmmm I thought I've seen you commenting before saying journalists don't just make stuff up and that they are protecting their sources in these instances?

Its how the media control it all, this news will now get the fans tails up even more, they will vent it at a game even more, the pressure builds even more and then bang. It’s the same as they try to sell star players at smaller clubs, it was alot more effective in the 90’s early 00’s not so much now on the transfer front.

I said that when the stories were about Harry Kane wanting out. However that is very different as it is very easy for Kane to debunk that if it isn't true. In this instance it is impossible for the rumour to be debunked.

If I were the club I would have a department sending Out of Court Settlement invoices to journos. Spook the brick out of them.

Players complaining about demands of training? Let me keep my comments to myself. Is it the training that is leading those certain players to displaying crap on the pitch? I hope Ange is able to identify these players and move them on.

He’ll need to get on with it; unlikely he’ll still be here in a fortnight.

under previous managers, leaks of players moaning about training, has been seen as a sign the manager had lost the dressing room
Yes, but every club has players that moan about training because there are almost 40 players involved in training so there are always a few who find it too gruelling, a few who find it boring, a few who feel they should be playing... there are rarely clubs where every player loves everything ever.

Looks like Lange was told to buy a load of kids, ready for next year or the year after.
Looks like Ange was told to just see it through as best you can, without the "full backing" of players ready for here and now.
Looks like the club are backing Ange because this is the plan; invest in '2 years time' rather than this year, and build from there. So THIS is the painful rebuild. We just need to stay up, and regroup in the summer.
With or without Ange, as Bono would sing.

That doesn't sound like the type of risk Levy would sign off on.
