Agree he's not quite what he was this season but I'd still take him. I think he could do the Dembele role in that he wouldnt play ever week but participate in a good few games, possibly the big/more difficult ones and at the same time Winks would learn a shedload from him. I really think we wouldnt be in the dodgy position (in terms of top 4 qualification) we are now if Dembele was still here playing in the games that he could manage, I think we dropped the ball there.....

And in terms of that Dembele type role, honestly I think Id prefer an N'dombele type that is young and exciting compared to a fading master on a countdown.
From Modrics point of view I would anticipate Serie A being much more appealling too.

This will go down well.
I think it was in response to the Madrid fans or media saying it first. He returned to fitness just in time to play for Wales which annoyed them, however he came out and said if there was a Madrid game last week he would also have been in contention again.
Will be interesting to see now that he is fit if they start playing him again or if he remains on the fringes.
