Danny Rose

there was a rumour on tw@tter that Chelski bid 62 mill on Monday

you gotta wonder, if you're a player and you see your club valuing you that high in terms of a transfer fee then surely it follows that you should be being paid a wage that reflects that value? i know it's not realistic for us to do that but in general terms you have to be able to see it from the players perspective there surely?

Getting rid is the easy thing to do...managing the situation and changing his perception and similar like minded players is the real battle.

We already have an excellent team still minus walker!

We need to stop fearing the word trophies...and feelings of angst against players when they say they want them.

Is it time to question the direction of this club...maybe...we do sheet loads of the right things but have one trophy in 16 years.

Fook in years of fans acceptance and being glad to focus on top 4. Meh it's the fa cup...meh it's the league cup.

I want trophies...we need trophies! In the past we could have done more.

Getting sick of people telling me we're the new age goon fans.

I don't want us to settle for mediocrity...I know we aren't capable of mega wages but why the fook are we not making bids for the likes of Mahrez...Barkley.

So frustrating when we teeter on the edge of something special only to reign ourselves in.

I don't get the hatred for Danny...he's only saying what half of you have been saying on here...and never would I like to see....'he's a Cnut just fook him off this forum'

Nigey.
It is naive to think the same situation hasn't been addressed across the board. We have good communication within the majority of the club. Rose is an anomalie.

Dier's head was turned (he kept quiet but the money spun him for sure) and it is pretty clear Toby isn't rushing into anything on the premise (I suspect) of seeing if the money gets real when we get back to the Lane. We are lucky in so much as we have a perfect storm of players and manager who are also committed to the project. Will it last longer than 18 months either on this financial plan or without some trophies? Of course not. But at the start of what is IMO our most critical season, the behaviour of Rose is simply an act of betrayal. Close ranks and work hard. If you don't want to, shut your mouth and do your stuff quietly. He knew we would not sell both him and his mate in the same window, so he has decided to up the ante himself and in the process, try to paint a picture of 'concern' for the club.

I think he's a liar. And I would be delighted to challenge him personally that he isn't.
fudge him.

It is a very weird thing for any top player to come out with.
Almost verging on the brain fade and such a poor judgment call.
I honestly think a bid came in and Levy told him no, Danny as gone f*** you and as they say the rest is history!

agree......even if transfer fees have gone mental

we cant sign anyone atm - all our players are on such low wages that brining one of those guys in would mean a huge salary increase for everyone.

mahrez/barkley would probably want 120-130k. what do you think that would do for everyone else?

put simply, we cant actually sign anyone decent atm becuase of the huge displarity that has developed this season in transfer fees (wages) and our carefully managed wage structure.

we can literally only sign another jansen

I understand that only home grown have true affinity to the club yet walker and rose have spent serious time here...particularly in terms of modern football and I just don't want to believe that neither of them give a plop about our club or the fans even if they have had derogatory comments from fans over the years.

I think rose has the right to an opinion but I do feel sick he chose to use that abomination of a rag.

I'm torn steff I really am and I totally see your point of view.

I fear years of mediocrity with our so called master plan imploding in spectacular fashion as we watch our best squad disassembled over the coming years...being torn asunder akin to Monaco at the moment.

I'm trying to keep the faith but unlike poch I'm not 'calm'

I would like us to dare to do and go for glory. I see us sitting on our hands transfer wise while our existing excellent players become restless.

Let's see how we start the campaign and end the window...high fees for a peaking left back means nothing to me. He's the best left back in the league and I certainly don't want another class player strengthening a northern title rival.

this literally is the problem isnt it

wow

basically we are looking at players willing to come in at 50k to 60k a week max or less

more Nkoudous and Janssens it is then

I can understand players seeing people getting paid more elsewhere and wanting the same. Especially, when they have an agent egging them on with a view to their cut. Whilst we may have a little headroom, I cannot see how we can depart far from our current wage structure.

I suspect that you are wrong and that we will see Barkley join us this summer and we will not break our pay structure to bring him in. I still think that around £100k a week is a huge amount of money for a player who would not make our first 11.

Well then it seems we're showing less appreciation to our players than wet spam are...Hernandez is on more than Kane probably and they want to bump lanzini up to 85k a week...compare that to the likes of our players wages and you can see a disgruntled players point.

I dunno the ins and outs of our finances tbh so I'll take what you say on the chin.
