Thinking is hard for some people

- Mid week game (less demand)
- Not all season tickets have cup games included (more availability)
- Tickets are cheaper

If you have money, season ticket, doing a night game in the middle of week is less enticing, if you struggle to get to and/or afford games, you will make the effort, the two things line up well ..

Somedays I really want off this planet ...

Exactly, and with years of season ticket holder experience

- Never had a tourist try to pick a fight with me (had more than one with Spurs fans, more than one with other English away fans in supporters section)
- Never hear the tourists booing or slagging off spacegoat player x
- Generally less miserable (excited by the experience)

Only annoyance I have with the tourists is they are always "lost", don't know where to go, where stuff is .. but it's fine ..

They also struggle to buy the beer as they just say… beer and the staff look confused
Had that happen quite a few times
I then have to help them select their choice

The bloke agrees that "Can't smile without you" should be the anthem played before the game. I mean Christ this is the unofficial voice of fans? Time and place and I love the song with its Spurs links but not at a game at kick off.

Only ever been involved in one altercation with another football fan at a game I was spectating, of course it was one of our coked up muppets.

Mine have fallen into two categories

- Our muppets under the influence of something
- Away fan in supporters section celebrating and when told to shut up or get out, wanting to take it further

It’s like the poll tax in the 80s and smoking weed nowadays; so many people flouting it that it’s de facto legal, in that the police aren't going to/don’t have the resources available to prosecute individuals who are streaming.

It's not the individuals though. It's the ones setting up the services that they should be focusing on, and obviously the bloke down the pub that is flogging their services.

I don't have a problem with it because Sky rob our hard working football fans anyway.

I don’t think it’s necessarily such a bad idea, but maybe not at kickoff, would be too much of a Liverpool ripoff. Anything but the bloody trumpet though, in my opinion. Both Chelsea and Le Scum have much better start of game anthems than us, sadly. We need to find a really good one of our own.

Although he also wears his ‘creating atmosphere’ hat which is what this twitter account covers. (Not saying he can’t do both).

Agree totally on Chelsea. The only thing that I envy them for.
