Depends when the actual deal was complete. If it was before 12pm then he can play.

Do you not think people are overreacting a little? How many people claiming this is 'the best signing for years' have ever seen him play?

I'm excited to see him, but he is just as likely to flop as he is to become a world class player. Let's see him play 20 games in a Spurs shirt before we start creaming ourselves.

According to Skysports he had to be registered by 12 today to be able to play Sunday so i assume if we was to have played tomorrow he would have to have been signed by 12 yesterday.

Guy on Sky Sports News said Lamela had to be registered by 12pm today if he was to play on Sunday. There was no confirmation of whether he had signed by 12pm or not though.

i think its by 12 on the friday for that game week, whether you play saturday/sunday/monday
