Injuries

either a bunch of guys got sacked or the medical and physio centre was self served

Was a story a while back that there was an assessment being made of the medical department based on number of injuries over last two seasons.

Seems they came up with some conclusions

Injured :

Vicario
Romero
VDV
Udogie

Bissouma
Bentacur

Odobert
Werner
Solanke

Richie/Davies/Moore I doubt are 100% or anywhere match fit

Make it no contact so we don’t have a player hurting is knee?

Do you think with the amount of injuries we are experiencing we shouldn't be having a review of of potential causes? Do you think it's out of the question that our training is contributing?

For some injuries
But a knee injury… not imo unless we know how it occurred.
The hamstrings have all been done on the pitch playing
The broken ankle was playing
The illnesses… that’s off the pitch
It reminds me of Kanes ankle issues which all came form him being tackles and people were blaming many things other than it being a contact sport
Sure GB will have his input soon with his inside knowledge

I don't think we need to break down each individual injury - facts are we are going through an unprecedented level of injuries, off the back of a season that we thought was similarly bad at the time, everything should be getting looked st (by the right people)

Thats why Ange said they want more staff and the new roles have been created for that
It’s key

That is not what I got from your email and I am pretty sure in Scotland that he must have played more than 1 game in a week at a time. Suggesting he is still learning about rotating the team is different from not assuming one knows everything in football.
Yes but Celtic only had decent opposition when they played in Europe.

Probably, but I'd say much more likely is the fact that we have flogged this guy into the ground and not been able to rotate him. The club knew what we were going to need in mid-November. It is nearing the third week of January. What are we doing?

True, although I really question if one player extra makes a difference

What is don't understand is at this stage of our season, with our injuries, why aren't these guys all wrapped in cotton wool between games, minimal output needed in training (you are playing 3 games a week). This feels criminally self inflicted. (And yes, I know you could get injured in the tunnel).

Its a matter of time for a couple other of our players

Like I said i was taking a wider view of injuries rather than focusing on this one in particular.

If we have to though there are/were options available which meant we didn't have to run Solanke in to the ground, same way there are/were options available that meant Porro didn't have to play as much as he had but here we are

just too many injuries in one season across so many roles - whatever we are doing it is not sustainable and it is madness to expect injuries to just go away if the key issues are not addressed

if i were ange I would be very careful with rotating porro and kulu now

City still haven’t got their signing over the line mate and money doesn’t count for them

Transfers so far: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5yd639d19po

Only a handful of transfer so far, so what's all the other clubs doing that need strengthening? Or is it just that January is hard to get the right player?
