Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Well if neither Pochettino nor Mourinho can get this bunch to play better than Villa, Leicester or Everton these past couple of seasons then maybe you need to reassess quite how talented our squad is... if only the transfer committee had been brave and secured Grealish or Maddison’s signatures then perhaps they’d have done better job than Moura and our injury prone Argentinians... can now see why nobody activated Alderweireld’s £25m release clause 2 summers ago whilst Eriksen’s struggle to get into Inter’s first team plus the lack of offers for Rose also shows how far our squad has declined in recent years.
Exactly that . That is down to the boardroom. The two windows with out updating has hurt in the long run. Squads need small continuous additions to keep it fresh. We have let it stagnate.
Tho as others have pointed out we are better than currently showing and that’s on Jose.

Cool video. Ali ended up with a soggy brain at a young age from his rope-a-dope tactics.

Guess we’ll see in coming years / decades what harm all those PEDs do to those players who’ve been playing high press for likes of Klopp.

Hopefully they don’t end up addicted to pain killers to cope with the wear and tear from running full pelt for 90 minutes every match.

The thing is people are not understanding and appreciating how much of a system coach Poch was. That system maximised the players we had, we never had the best squad or 11 in Poch's time but he damn sure got them playing to the upper limit of their capability.

Once the quality of the available players dropped and it did when Toby and Jan got old, Walker left and Rose, Wanyama and Dembele all suffered serious injury. That maximised performance of lower quality replacements no longer put us at near the top of table.

It needs to be repeated but we stagnated. Now those squad players who could not get into the starting 11 are now our key players and not because they have stepped up.

No our standards have just dropped.

We can only hope.

Which is a crazy way to talk, I've never been particularly anti manager before. Not Poch, AVB, not Jol (I although I was one of those with misgivings) but Jose has actually broken me and I want him gone asap.

I can see no way forward with him at the helm.

I don't need fancy dan football, I don't need trophies but I do need to see a plan. I do need to see you learning and adjusting to mistakes. I do want to see us attack and attempt to score goals. The cowardly crap we've been witnessing since the 2nd half Vs West Ham has to stop.

I don't even mind losing matches if we go for it but to not even try to go for it and still lose. Then no this is not for me and he needs to go.

I'm similarly. I've never wanted a manager out like I want Jose out of Spurs. George Graham, Tim Sherwood were never as negative to me as Jose is. I was open to him when he arrived - happy to take his baggage and style if it meant winning and top 4.

Like you, I think the lack of any sort of plan is completely inexcusable. Its one of the first things a manager should do.

We're an utter shower at the moment (9 points from 10 games) and the way we just backed off last night and let them have the lions share of the possession was pathetic. Your description of 'cowardly' is a very good word.

I'm not even that bothered when we now lose games - it just takes us closer to his exit. I've never liked Spurs losing before....

If Potter was foreign, would it make a difference? Poch wasn't well known when he came to Spurs (I'm not saying that Potter would be my choice!)
Yep
It would
Fans would maybe wouldn’t know who it was but I swear it would because it has a glamour
There are some great English managers out there but they need chances to be spotted
Instead it’s who is in vogue or who has been here before for the situation
Look at Dyche. He has Burnley punching above their weight year on year

Is this Sissoko or is this the instruction from Jose? I think it's the latter

I don't think its necessarily 'instruction' from Jose, but I think its just a result of the players not being in the routine of moving, creating space and passing the ball. We dont train those things. It sounds basic but if you're in the mental habit of moving to be in a space to receive the ball then you do it automatically. For some like GLC, he'll still do it, but other less good ball players need the habits formed from training. We're so under-prepared with the ball its laughable

No, this is Sissoko he was the same under Poch. He's always played this way. Just for some reason the fans felt pity for him and big up minor things like him controlling a ball as of that is some sort of achievement.

I do blame Jose for picking him when he himself said when he joined that "Sissoko is not a centre midfielder in my team" yet he betrayed his instincts and Sissoko has betrayed his trust.

Yeah if it was Gio Potterino or Johan van Dyck they’d be on the list!

Sissoko knows he is a liability on the ball, but he actually looked a little leggy to me too yesterday. He’s the last play I’d expect to give up running for the team, so it’s either fatigue from the early start with Europa quals or a lack of belief in the manager. I think without Kane, regardless of what the instruction is the team don’t actually believe we can score.

He's always hid from the ball when it's being played around the backline, as the video puts it he expertly shadows pressers so its impossible to pass the ball to him.

He has less reason to be fatigued he's had a rest recently. Let's not make excuses for him, that is the player he is and always has been it's just someone has finally done a video analysis highlighting it.

I've said it and other have said it for years now Sissoko hides from the ball when we are in possession. This is not a new development.

Yesterday night
When he pointed to someone else after he stopped running (his redeeming feature) and Kovacic almost scored I was appalled
It’s horrible

Racist me ... never
Yeah it’s 400% not racism with the boards... it’s fear of missing of missing out on the next big thing

I know I was sort of referencing the way any promotion of anything English has been seen as racist in this country for quite some time.

I would avoid but see how he does over the next year or two.

That’s cool
I think he is brilliant as I’ve said

Issue is always how long is too long at a club
