Ok don't look up.

Some people slated it, but there was science. So i thought i'd give it a go.

First bit, it was quirky, grand budapest, knives out style. Which i enjoy.

Then it just went to brick. Couldn't be arsed.

Watched the new Matrix, quite enjoyed it - saw that it looks like a box office bomb, so doubt we'll see another anytime soon.

Snagged a free spell of Apple TV to watch Ted Lasso, which I already had seen parts of. Awesome.

But they also offered the Tom Hanks military propaganda pic, Greyhound. Grim look at a US escort destroyer helping UK allied ships to protect a convoy of merchant marine ships in WW2. Pretty decent, all things considered. And those considered things include overt religious content. Shame we didn't see more of Elizabeth Shue. Still enjoyed it.

The newly released film Tick Tick Boom on Netflix I can wholeheartedly recommend.

A stellar performance from Andrew Garfield in the lead.

It's a musical about a young writer making a musical. So there are songs, and I'm not the biggest fan of musicals, but it works very well.

It’s a very good film, and as you say Andrew Garfield is excellent. I really rate him as an actor. I think his performances in the Spider-Man movies were good, but undone by some clunky messes in the films. The villains were poor in his films. A lower class compared to those in both Tobey Maguire’s and Tom Holland’s equivalents. And then for me, I think our other outstanding performance was in Hacksaw Ridge which I think is now very much under the radar for a film of its quality.

did you not enjoy Paul Giamatti's russian accented Rhino? A villain for the ages no? Garfield was good, the chemistry with him and Stone was the best in all Spider-Man movies (expected, they were dating at the time).

Watched Shang-Chi and really enjoyed it, buuuuuuuuuuut, it's basically Black Panther: China. However, sowing the seeds for the new MCU world. Yet to see Eternals which drops in a week or so on Disney+, so need to watch that then find time for Spiderman NWH if it's still available.

Don’t waste your time watching Eternals. It’s long and nothing happens in it. It’s got a lot of criticism because it’s too woke but it’s just a really dull film regardless of the cast.

Didn't even think it was woke (as in it was trying to push a message). Couple of gay guys, who cares? It's just the film felt 6000 years with nothing happening. Just boring.

Finally got round to watching Ghostbusters Afterlife, while it isn't an instant classic (thou debatable), it is extremely entertaining and well worth the watch. I have to say, the way they involved and showed appreciation for Harold Ramis was very touching and well done.
