I think some people have to take a deep breath and gauge what we have done thus far this season. Yeah. Watch us 'not win the league'...sorry, I laughed when I read that.

There's a lot of glory to it actually.

And if that was the attitude we had for it from the beginning, then great stuff. No problems. But we didn't. We played strong teams in the group stages when we had important league matches coming up.

Just because you've got the power, doesn't mean you've got the right!!!

Poch will know who he needs to upgrade on for CL next season. This is an exercise in learning. We are a club who have made massive strides short-term and we need to remember that. He will have reaffirmed how vital Dier is to everything we do, further how important it is that we find a good alternate there.
 
Little money, glory or acclaim in the EL. But it will mess up your season. Now we have one tie for the kids, and 9 cup finals to play. Where Poch is with this squad, with this many developing players, focusing on one competition makes a lot of sense.

At the end of a long season, splitting our efforts wasn't realistic - if we are honest about it.

I am excited by our focus now.

That It is disgraceful not to give this competition our best shot? I love Poch but he has disappointed me tonight leaving Lamela, dembele and Kane out and playing Son and chadli vs Dortmund has destroyed us. We better go on and win the league now.
 
2-0 would have given us a chance playing our best 11 in the return leg, but with 3-0 that's just no point, and it will be the same at WHL.

You find that you start making lots more individual mistakes when your defence is put under almost constant pressure from the 6 players in front lacking the ability to hold onto the ball properly and the two players directly jn front don't have the appropriate playing style to shield the defence, against one of the best attacks and teams jn Europe.

It's not a coincidence.

There is no denying that we have been outplayed but I hate to see people throwing in the towel before a ball has been kicked.

I would be interested in hearing what chance people would have given us of winning this game over both legs with a full strength team.
