There's a lot of glory to it actually.

And if that was the attitude we had for it from the beginning, then great stuff. No problems. But we didn't. We played strong teams in the group stages when we had important league matches coming up.

We've used it to rotate and to keep Thursdays interesting - if you're out of work early enough.

Embarrassed. It was obvious. What a load of pointless brick. Onomah stays on? Joke. fudging crap.

Oh and for Stuff et all. The superfan condensension is misplaced. Throwing a game of this magnitude gives us every right to direct frustration towards the manager. We've been let down tonight. Big time.

what will he be learning tonight Steff?
That It is disgraceful not to give this competition our best shot? I love Poch but he has disappointed me tonight leaving Lamela, dembele and Kane out and playing Son and chadli vs Dortmund has destroyed us. We better go on and win the league now.

He will have learnt that he needs alternates for Dier at top level, that Chadli needs an upgrade, that Tommy isn't quite at this level, that Kieran has a lot to learn...plenty to learn mate, and with some money this summer plus CL football beckoning, it is important stuff to learn first-hand.

For me you have hit the tickle my balls with a feather. Had no qualms with him playing a below-strength team tonight, but we should have done this v Fiorentina. I said it quite a few times back in February. And if the back-up team was not good enough then so be it.
Right now at 3-0 I dont want to see any of the team that will start v Bournemouth starting in the 2nd leg.

Looks like now we have just freed-up a few midweeks in April

Only disappointment was how we didn't pass the ball well. All credit to an impressive opponent. We can play much better though.

Selection of players was spot on, but they didn't perform as well as they might have. We constantly gave away possession (while under pressure). We don't look good containing teams. Poch has been trying to find this setup but we've never clicked with it. Not enough disciplined shape or traking - I don't know. Only Tony Pulis does.

Out of interest. Would you take a Europa quarter final and a top four finish over the league title?

He will know those things already Steff. I love you mate but you cannot defend everything he does. Tonight was all about rotation nothing else and to play the weakest team in England on Sunday. This was a huge game I and so many fans were looking forward to. Utterly disrespectful to those who paid to go out there.
