Very dissapointed.

That is a shocking lineup. The tie could be over by the end of tonight.

Unless this is a cunning plan whereby we get trounced tonight and hope to see them send a reserve team next Thursday for us to beat.
This reeks of priorities to me. In Poch we trust.

I think it' a brave selection from Poch, he's not hedging his bets. We want to win the league. That's only two players different from the lineup I would have picked. I'm a bit surprised Eriksen plays again, he plays so much football and gets through a ton of running.

I expect we'll sub on Dembele and Kane at some point.

To those who are talking about morale, I'd say that if we do get beat, we'll shrug it off coz it's not our first XI. And any kind of result is a huge boost to everyone.

Dortmund XI: Weidenfeller, Durm, Piszczek, Bender, Hummels, Schmelzer, Weigl, Castro, Mkhitaryan, Reus, Aubameyang
Subs: Bürki, Sahin, Ginter, Leitner, Ramos, Subotic, Kagawa

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Davies; Carroll, Mason; Onomah, Son, Eriksen; Chadli
Subs: Vorm, Carter-Vickers, Walker, Bentaleb, Dembele, Lamela, Kane

Very disappointing team. Can understand we want to concentrate more on the league. But we have to make sure Borussia don't do us too much damage to our morale in this match. Our pride in Europe is at stake here ! Very angry that Lamela was replaced so early against Arsenal but still doesn't start this match ! He is afterall our top scorer in Europe !

Frankly, I am more worried about Carroll, Mason and Onomah than Borussia Dortmund. Will they be able to handle the pressure of expectations in front of a capacity crowd against a big European team ? Pochettino is fully responsible for whatever result we get in this match !

I'm guessing he also feels like we have a stronger chance of CL qualification through the league and ballsing that up would be seen as a far greater failure than going out of the EL.

For the first time i have to say I'm genuinely tinkled off by Pochettino. What a pony team. I can't believe this. We are going to get absolutely hammered by Dortmund for the sake of a game against... Aston Villa.

fudge this. I'm really annoyed. We are going to get absolutely battered and we deserve to as well. Disrespectful to the stature of the clubs and the fans - particularly the travelling fans. I'm sad to say I've just lost a lot of respect for Pochettino. Really unhappy with that team. Really unhappy.

We'll just have to win the league then

To me it looks like we are too pussy to really go for it. Now we have a nice little excuse in our back pocket so we can say "oh it wasn't our first team" blah blah blah like some posters are already suggesting.

Why didn't we just play the under 12's in the group stages or throw the match against Fiorentina. This is our biggest European night in ages and we are basically throwing the tie.

I'm sorry but i think that is a disrespectful and revolting line up.

Lets be positive. What an experience for the likes of Onomah, mason and Carroll. Academy boys representing their club against one of the best in europe.

I don't see any possible future permutations that make picking a reserve side against Dortmund acceptable. We aren't going to win. I don't think we'll have a shot. I'll still hope for the best, but I'm definitely fearing the worst. This one could be over by half time.

I can't convey how disappointed I am. Did we get scared and bottle it? Giving ourselves and excuse? Trash, absolute trash. Feeble.

Feeling the same here. I no longer feel nervous ! I feel annoyed ! If we don't finish in top 4 this season, want us to opt out of the EL completely next season, even if it means going to Court ! Atleast that will save our pride in Europe ! It is clear Pochettino doesn't rate EL or any of the Cups ! His only target is the league !

I think having academy boys in the team is good - if we are competetive and if they have some older heads around to guide them through.

However, Carroll and Mason protecting the back four?????o_O

If we get battered (highly possible) it wont be a great experience at all...we played Quarabag away before a Chelski game with more first teamers FFS!!
