The problem with these refs is they (maybe subconsciously) feel very ‘safe’ giving the 50/50s to the ‘big’ teams. And even when it’s 30/70. They know they won’t come under fire from the Managers and the media lovers of the big teams.

We just saw Maddison win the ball cleanly there and the ref was 5 yards away - but he obviously felt very safe giving them a foul.

Same with the push on Maddison and the foul on Son.
