Was raised Catholic I know how evil religion is. For the so called liberals on here how come religions have such historically bad attitudes to the gays and women?

It amazes me that it is still allowed to be in educational establishments despite all the worries of indoctrination by teachers on other issues.

As one of those 'liberals' on here (I assume/think), a bit like the religious wars I think religions historic bad attitudes to women (and gays) are to do with power and insecurity rather than anything to do with a celestial entity like the Great Pastafarian.

Absolutely.

The teaching of religion to U18s should be considered child abuse. Teaching kids not to use reason and logic is dangerous and damaging.
