Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

You didn’t answer my question though, where are the brexit benefits?

Reese-mogg didn’t seem to be able to find any when he was the Brexit benefits minister and that post no longer exists which says it all really.
We left the EU. It was the only issue.

Find a better, relevant question.

This does worry me greatly. There’s a lot to dislike about this Labour government but a far right reform government will be much worse.

Yet anyone who says there's a problem you make out to be idiots? Because they have a different perspective from you?
It's been the way for decades. Shutting down conversation. Calling racist. Calling stupid. Uneducated.
People don't care anymore. They won't bother debating.
We're just starting to see the beginning of the riots.

Where did I say that? I didn’t. I do think that Nigel farage is a grifting clam and can’t understand how anyone could vote for his party, or believe anything he says given the damage he has done with Brexit.

Farage is Donald trump light. Do you really want to see his austerity on steroids in the uk? Because that’s what reform want.

In what context?

We're just starting to see the beginning of the riots.
Then they’ll be going to jail and fudging their lives over.

No what was the issue with being a member of the eu?

And what do you think has been improved by leaving the eu?

That was up to each voter to decide for themselves.

The  issue was whether we would be a member of the eu or not. It's what the vote was about. In the end the result was leave. Or brexit. If it was remain the issue would have been the same.

Plenty. But not enough to impose economic sanctions upon ourselves.

Nigel Farage's raison d'etre.
Agreed it was far from perfect but better to be in it than out if you compare the trade deals we have now to then.

The only people that have benefited are disaster capitalists (betting against the uk economy),
dishonest politicians (lying to the public and lining their pockets through political lobbying and bribery and working to remove our fundamental human rights (eg exit from the echr)
bankers (restraints on pay and financial safeguards being removed)
large (mainly international) corporations, benefiting from reduced regulations allowing them to slash standards, and trash the environment while avoiding/evading their tax obligations , and
and tax avoidance/evasion for the wealthiest in society.

These are the Brexit benefits but they don’t benefit many of us! And everyone else is having to bare the consequences of the greed of the wealthiest members of our society.

You don't know they have nukes. You kind of admitted that on the other thread fella.
They probably don't at the time of writing. We are talking about why we (as in the UK) don't care about (and in fact actively assist in) the Israeli nuclear weapons programme and why we do care about (and in fact actively seek to degrade) the Iranian nuclear weapons programme.

What regulations and financial safeguards and fundamental human rights have been removed as a result of Brexit. Honestly, this sort of stuff just gets banded - its literally as bad as anti-vaxxers. It is totally deranged.

And this idea that Brexit was some sort of plot by disaster capitalists, bankers and elites is so laughable, again its like the stuff that flat earthers come out with to validate their point of view - every piece of evidence that points to the Earth being round is basically due to a plot by the establishment to keep the masses in the dark.

And that's basically where we are with Brexit - there are still millions that just cannot get over what happened and found comfort in pretending that rather than a perfectly valid democratic question being asked about our constitutional future and that the over 17 million people that said they wanted to leave the EU in the largest turnout in British electoral history did so for valid and legitimately held beliefs - that the referendum and result itself only existed and went the way it did because of stuff like the Russians and the bankers brainwashing people.

Do you mean that the other way around?

Counter terrorism laws seem to be Starmer's go-to law and order tool at the moment:
- Got a refugee issue at the border? Counter terrorism laws.
- Got a protest group thats highlighted an embarrassing lack of security at an airforce base? Counter terrorism laws.

  • Departure from EU Tax Frameworks:
The UK is no longer subject to EU rules like ATAD, which introduced measures to counter tax avoidance, such as controlled foreign company rules and interest deductibility restrictions.
Human rights comment relate to withdrawal from the ECHR which the right in the country want to do. This is will enable the I position of greater levels of austerity and erode workers rights.

Ok so if everything I’ve said and every article I’ve posted is bs then what were the benefits of Brexit and who has benefited! None of you Brexit fanboys seem capable of answering these simple questions with any specific answer!
