Racism in football

Valencia walked off against Cadiz tonight because one of their players was racially abused. Fair play to them.

Seems Valencia went back on because they were threatened with sanction. The football authorities need to find a way of handling this better. While here the player's reaction reminded me of Ledley's to Terry, you know that if it becomes common to walk off some teams will exploit it when losing.

What's wrong with the old method of everyone piling in and kicking the fudge out of the racist?

look forward to a lenghty review and some £4k fine to the club. followed by some t shirts to say they're against racism.
Cala came out today, saying its a witch hunt, and that racism does not exist in Spanish football.
Hard to find better proof that the reported racism actually took place.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been sacked from Hertha Berlin’s supervisory board after referring to German television pundit Dennis Aogo as “a token black guy” in a WhatsApp message.

Lehmann, 51, who played for the Gunners from 2003-2008 as well as for a brief spell in 2011, and represented Germany 61 times, apologised on social media to Aogo, a former Hamburg and Schalke player who now works for Sky Sports in Germany.
