Sales

Tick tock. Ten days to go. I appreciate that it's difficult to sell players on huge wages, but I hope to see some movement this week as currently it is holding us back from adding the one or two more we need.

Sounds like only Reguilon is close to Spain at the minute. All the rest are just links with no real substance. N'Dombele apparently rejected Forest yesterday. I think a lot of them will leave but they will all end up being loans with options close to the deadline

Where did that link come from?
I have only seen Ndombele linked with Turkey and one of his former managers (didn't look to see who)

10 loans out. 10 subsidised wages.

I think we're done on incomings too and will just use Sanchez/Dier/Phillips as the back-up CBs

Nah, We might not get the 7 out, 3 in that we want but I think we'll still shift a few nearer the deadline and get 1 or 2 in.

Who knows though, Could be another 'We tried'

If that is true it shows what a fraud he is. He really does not want to play football anymore. Odious clam.

Ruel Fox mkII. We should just terminate his contract at the end of the window and be done with it. It's hard enough to find someone willing to take a chance on him but if he turns down teams like Forest, we'll never shift him out. If he doesn't go to Turkey (and I think Kevin Campbell wouldn't advise him to go there), we might as well give up and get rid.

Ruel Fox? Comparison in what way?

I don't think we're trying. We're already about 7 overseas places over the limit. It's also been 15 years since we last didn't have European football, so people have forgotten how few games we'll have/that we don't need to rotate. It think van der Ven and Veliz were always going to be our last two bits of incoming business.

Didn't mind Ruel Fox. Weird comparison.

He refused to even go on loan when it was clear he had absolutely no future at Spurs. If I remember correctly, he was our second most expensive player at the time. As far as I remember he had one good season at Spurs, the first one. After that, he declined pretty quickly (not entirely his fault though, he was probably closing in on 30 and he wasn't the kind of player who'd age well). Once Gorgeous George was appointed as manager, it was obvious he'd never be anywhere near the first team and yet, he turned down quite a few moves, including loans (again, if I remember correctly - that was 20 years ago). So much so that I remember an interview with Graham where he said that clubs should be allowed to swap their unwanted players without their consent (a visionnary...).

You could argue he had every right to see out his contract at Spurs but then you'd have to laud Ndombele for his tenacity.

I don't think you would find anyone lauding them but you can't have it all ways. Fans demand every window to sign players indiscriminately, that comes with consequences to signing duds or players that plateau out, if they wanna protect their contract that the club gave them, that's up to them, that's why contracts exist.
