The Official 2017/18 Premier League Thread

Is he though, or is this just another myth like the joey Barton good footballer myth?

I’ve never seen Shelvey play well and yet I’ve seen headlines and MOTD pundits raving about him in games i’ve Watched, yet the highlights they show don’t even back them up!

Too easily distracted.....but has the skill.
Mentally weak though.

From what I hear, Burnley did the ultimate 'smash and grab' At this rate they will be requesting to play all their games away from home

Southampton created very little. Burnley even less. Burnley sat back and defended in numbers. Burnley are boring the life out of people but don't care as they are getting results.

I can't decide which result of City - Arsenal game I'll prefer. Probably a draw.
Chelsea - MU definitely a draw.

Third season in a row we're good enough to win the title, but another team goes on an unbelievable run.

Big Emirates Marketing Project win or a draw. Arsenal can go above us if they win their next two games. Given our shocking record at Highbury/Emirates I’m not expecting anything more than a point from that one.

I nearly always plump for the draw when 2 rivals play each other. Certainly think 2 draws today would be ideal, that way we gain 2 points on all of the others in the Top 5.
Although as has been said before with these matches, every outcome has its bonus in one way or another.

A lot of it also depends on what expectations we have on our own title chance. Personally, I think a season at Wembley has cost us a real chance of the title and City look far and away the best team in the league, so maybe a City win is the best option so that we gain 3pts on Arsenal, who we could be fighting with for a CL spot come May
