My criticism of Howe at Bournemouth was that he couldn’t set up a defence. Since he’s gone into Saudi Sportswashing Machine, he’s got a great record.
Fair play to the guy, he’s shown that he’s learning. A bloody good manager and a likeable one too.
Might have helped he's spent £83m on the defense (including gk) since he got there. Probably a bit more than he had at Bournemouth.

That does help but he had some decent defenders (Ake and Mings for example) at Bournemouth and they were terrible defensively. He’s also not exactly signed world beaters at Saudi Sportswashing Machine.
