Again, IF it was serious then we should've had it lined uo since Dec and struck fast and early. There was no 'doom loop' then, just a run of bad form and horrible injuries.

I'd think most of the players we're looking at are regulars for their current clubs. They'll be asking a premium no matter what if it's someone they'd rather keep.

But then Juve showed up, and we got guzumped on prestige, CL etc. That's just life as your performances are dropping down the food chain.

The doom loop started on 6 november 2023, its not a recent phenomenon.

Juve show up and gazump us in January. How many times were we 'gazumped' when we were a regular PL side? Like so many siutuations, if we'd been prepared to show the money when contact was made, who knows? I was always suspicious of the Diaz debacle; were we being used all along by his reps to smoke Liverpool out, or if we'd shown the money on first demand, could we have done the deal. As for the doom cycle, I have little doubt it began for you then because you do not like the manager and want him out. I still believe our recruitment has sorely let the club down.

Even earlier.
As a player would you really look at us right now and think "I want a bit of that".
A bickering club with a manager that, at best, has big question marks over his head.

Maybe an out of favour loaner looking for a shop window. But not much else.

This squad is good. Finish it off with say Dibling, Delap and Mitchell, and i reckon Poch gets CL with it next season, wins the league the year after

The only reason I won't ding your Poch mention is because I know you were one of the few who saw the disgraceful way we took him for granted and fudged him off at the first signs of real trouble. Seriously, I cannot see him coming back whilst certain people remain at the club. Levy is not one of those people necessarily.

His club have just taken a guy on loan who plays his position
I know us, Chelsea and pool were keen
And Chelsea are selling Disasi to villa in one of those weird PSR moves it seems

All those PSR transfers need to be investigated. Our guy gets banned for 18 months but scumbag clubs like forest, Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Chelsea, villa all get away with it.
