NK and townsend are as much lennon's replacements as they are bales. we just have to change our system.
the key is having proper replacement that can come in to make sure that we have at least one stretch winger on the pitch. thought townsend was ready but he obviously isnt. so we need to either push up freidreichs development or get someone else in.

Every man and his dog will be looking at him, will be way more than a few million to get him from Brum, I think we're looking at Walcott / Bale type sums when they left Southampton. If he's subject to a transfer this summer I would like to think we at least bid for the guy though, he looks quality on the few occassions he's played.
Or push him to improve his game even further once there is some actual competition for his place.

I like the look of the lad who plays on the wing for Blackpool, Matt Philips. He's only young, has pace to burn and has a few tricks. He's not at Aaron's level yet (and possibly never will be), but would certainly do a better job as cover than Niko of Bentley could do at present.

For the first season if I remember rightly Bale was competing with BAE for left back. We tried the BAE-Bale combo a few times but it just didnt work. But now it does, big time.
So I do wonder whether Walker might ever be considered as a Bale-esqe right midfielder sometime?
