Transfer thread

New York Times says that Tottenham Hotspur is actively searching for a "world-class" co-sporting director to replace Fabio Paratici. The club is utilizing the Excel (formerly Nolan Partners) headhunting agency to assist Johan Lange. Top targets include former Borussia Dortmund director Sebastian Kehl, Chelsea's Paul Winstanley, and Al-Diriyah's Dougie Freedman.

Any insights on these blokes appreciated. May be the most important recruitment for next season.

Just get in Luis Campos or Marotta to run the football side of the club.

Freedman's record at Palace was excellent (Olise, Wharton etc). He should probably be our #1 target

Kehl was supposed to be the protege of the famous old DoF at Dortmund, but has flopped and been hounded out, even though he was a popular ex-player

Not much, but Kehl has been a disaster at Dortmund.

How long does it take for people to figure out the person running the clickbait sites are just randomly picking out names of players to reel you in?
I limit myself to one visit a day on this thread just to see how ridiculous the candidates are.
The rumours are meaningless, and we don't find out until it's virtually done. I have totally switched off from it.

Nice. didn't realise he did those deals

Both of these were highlighted on this board (by @Bedfordspurs ???) before Palace signed them.
Wasnt hard
if you buy the best young player from the championship every other season imo you will get some top top players
You would get bowen, eze, Olise, Hackney and Jordan James (this season)… gray (who we got)
There are many options
Instead we, like most clubs, look overseas
Im a huge fan of lankshear, I saw him play youth for us and he was physically bigger and better with some awareness
I’ve watched Oxford this season and he has really stood out. He just has that awareness …. Where ti beam when to shoot and how to shoot too
Devine I’ve always liked too… doesnt hide and ales time when he gets the ball
Another I have high hopes for if he can stay for is George Abbott. Another with that knack of being in the right place and the right time

Was clear 2 years ago that Jordan James would be decent, was poor at Rennes though which goes against him, but still a very decent player.

Eze when at QPR was clear as day, glided around the pitch .

Hackney is going to be one hell of a player
