I remember an Mk dons fan talking about this kid when my nephew played there years ago. Rapid and huge at the time (would have 10/11) He went to Everton so I assume his family moved and didn’t quite make it somehow (I didn’t follow his career) then I heard he was playing for America
So fast too
They had a ginger lad too who played at MK and was going to Norwich . Was about 6ft tall at the same age and was a beast. Don’t think he became anything but I remember him steamrolling my nephews team

We have a great great crop of 16/17 years olds coming through again from what I can see but it’s a phases
I’d love the men’s squad to be 25% HG players (including signings like Philips and Devine). I think it’s healthy and really complementary to what a club should do

They were an outstanding team and we would be lucky to reproduce that, players like Craig, Robson, Abbott and Santiago were the vital cement which held the team together.

I’d flog Richy as soon as we can and get Jonathan David in for a reduced fee too because of his contract
Is also get angel gomes and sell bentacur or Bissouma in the summer
The net outlay the change teh squad with their 3 additions if we sold well would be positive
That should allow us money to spend on other areas where we want players too

Makes a lot of sense. So it sort of looks like this for me

Venom, New GK, Keeley/Gunter - the last 2 can rotate between 3rd choice and loans. Obviously we shift Fortster, Whiteman and Austin

Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Phillips, Vuskovic - Davies gone, Dorrington loan, Hardy U21 fast track

Porro, Spence, Udogie, New LB - Reggie gone, Mitchell or Dorgu seem logical,

Bentancur, Gray, Sarr, Bergval, Devine, New CM - Joao over Angel Gomes for me. Biss will need to be sold, Bents new contract (for now). Difficult decision is Abbott. Worth keeping an eye on Ruben Neves in KSA as well.

Madds, Kulu, Donley

Johnson, Odobert, Moore, Yang, Son - Gil and Solomon moved on, Werner sent back.

Solanke, David, Scarlett - Richi gone, Lanks/Veliz loan but English clubs only

I'd definitely be up for some other trading though. If I felt we could get Branthwaite at the expense of losing Romero, I would make that trade. I'm wondering how safe Dragusin is as well. I'd also see Bents AND Biss leave if we could backfill with PL experience for at least one of the spots.

I'd also definitely advocate for a Mbuemo, Cunha type signing if we could find one.

These kinda moves allow us to add the stardust that I actually said we would next summer, in the summer just gone
Hate to go back to Arsenal comparisons but it’s would be our rice window if we were smart
No idea who that player or those players would be though
Mbuemo is brilliant
Younger than people think too
Cunhas been clsss the last year too
Both though would cost a lot of ££
But… both would want to move I think in the summer
I’d guess Cunha to city myself. His work rate is top notch
And Mbuemo to Liverpool IMo. They wanted him in the summer but wouldn’t pay the fee
So I don’t know who that new wide star will be but I do think we will try to get one

He’ll only be hard to shift if the club are looking to make a book value profit on him.

I think we should be buying a first choice instead of back-up…. Kelleher would be my choice.

I think (in order of importance) we need:
1. Number 6 type. Kimmich on a free is my dream signing. Samuele Ricci from Torino would also be great. AO Tanaka from Leeds an under the radar good option.
2. Competition at left back. I’ve gone on about Robinson for a few years now and he would be my no.1 choice but likely too expensive for us. Dorgu from Lecce also looks good. Alfie Doughty from Luton would be an effective lowish cost option. I was also really impressed with Wolves’ Rayan Aït-Nouri on Sunday.
3. Another wide forward. Sane on a free my dream signing here. Jonathan David could work but probably isn’t a Postecoglou type wide player. Roony Bardghji would be one if going for potential, though is currently out with an ACL injury.
4. A first choice keeper. Kelleher from Liverpool ticks all the boxes.
5. A rotation option for centre forward. Delap from Ipswich my choice.
6. Cover at centre back. I’d try to tempt Saudi Sportswashing Machine into making a bit of transfer profit on Lloyd Kelly. Tah is on a free from Leverkusen but I don’t think we could hope to get him. Ko Itakura from B.M’gladbach would be good option, as would Evan Ndicka from Roma. Maxine Esteve from Burnley might be a good under the radar option.

Tah is going to Spain to Barca
We didn’t hid to Kelly in the summer so don’t see that happening
Delap is great but I still think we may have the cover option in house. Or we have some calls to make with the players we have and the own we brought in
Ricci has been linked with some big sides. Hopefully Paratici is on the case there
