World Cup Round of 16 - Fixtures in 1st Post

Enjoyed the match again last night and thought Algeria were excellent. I found Germany quite boring to watch and Goetze & Ozil were very poor. Just hope the excellent matches continues to the end.

Oops :lol: clearly they meant to say 'Rodriguez, James Rodriguez' and then made a great mistake with the referencing! Would have thought that a good editor would at least question the headline!

I agree, that bloke with the patch on his head looked decent and Algeria's confidence and belief was a real credit to them and their manager.
 
I think USA will win the only issue I have is whether they have the creativity to get through Belgium. Belgium remind me of Chelscum, very regimental, very organised and very effective but not pleasing on the eye.

I have USA to win on penalties tonight. We're due another penalty shoot out & it's not going to be between Argentina & Switzerland.
 
So excited for today. Belgium are obviously superior in terms of talent, but you can never count Dempsey out for a crucial goal!

2-1 USA in extra time.
 
I think Switzerland will get a bit of a doing tbh, even the last group game where Shaqiri got his hattrick they looked shakey defensively.

Can see DFS's boys getting him another result tonight.

I can see that too. I think Belgium will need to up the pace if they are two beat USA.
 
hoping my sweepstake team Belgium do the business - you going down DHSF!

so far they seem quite labored - hopefully it's a case of just going out and doing enough to beat their opponents/control the game rather than just not being that good. they haven't looked in danger in any of the games they've played and seem quite defensively sound. 2-1 to The Red Devils
 
Surprised Caballero does not feature for Argentina, has looked superb in recent seasons for Malaga. Romero does not look convincing.
