Some utter gutter types racially abusing players in the football league yesterday and Collymore.

Something we shouldn’t forget when having a go at other countries.
 
Anyone read his comments on talk sport today about the city game?

He has his thoughts and actions at times that I find hard to understand or to agree with, however i don't really knock a man for thinking different to myself.

He has his moments on the pitch at times, but you will not find a more committed player on the pitch ... he works his bloody socks off.

I love having him in the squad. Think he's been one of our best left backs in the modern era. A round of applause is needed for this man. He is a massive part of the team effort under poch, consistently playing in the majority in the games when fit.

Big part of our evolution.

Given his depression comments before the WC and the falling out with Poch over the summer AND the continuing racist vile hurled in his direction Rose has been immense for us this season. Not at his best, perhaps a yard or a half yard short of his top pace, but the effort he puts in is vital. Against Blood Soaked Oil FC he ran himself into the ground, and even nutmegged Walker! A great squad player for us.

There really isn’t a better left back out there currently

I’ve heard all sorts of names mentioned but they don’t get near him for their all round games

What’s teh summer be falling out you mention?

I thought he had a falling out w Poch over having to Google signings or somesuch. The timing might be wrong, but I have nothing but admiration for the guy. I am one of those who does not feel that because he is a super rich professional footballer playing for the Club I have loved since I was 6 that he has it easy. He has been honest - sometime maybe too honest - but he and his aura clearly have the respect of Poch and he goes out there and does the biz.

It’s not easy being a player
You go from being a kid to someone having a lucky break (some of the best never make it) to being idolised by macarons and angels who want you to fail or succeed dependant on what’s in it for them

But the financial compensation is just that... compensation

And who cares how it affects them ... I mean why would a pro footballer become an alcoholic for example ... it’s not like they can’t leave their house for fear of someone selling their story
 
I will add on the Danny Rose thing, some of you know that I know Callum Davenport who has a solid unspectacular career but earnt decent money and also had off the field incidents which are well publicised

He truly didn’t have a clue what to do when he retired and tried coaching ... last time I spoke to him he was learning to be a hair dresser and had found GHod. He moved to Plymouth as it has great swimming facilities for his kid and he couldn’t stay in Bedford for fear of agro from ex friends and jealous people
