James Maddison

One thing that annoys the fudge out of me, is he demands the ball off of the person next to him, when he's not in a better position, and doesn't know what he's going to do with it. Looks around for awhile, then makes a sideways pass the other player could have done quicker anyway. Show some fudging movement and have an idea where you are going to make a quick pass to hurt the opposition.
Stat packing innit aka looking busy

My favourite is standing behind an opposition player but pretending you want the pass player into you.

He wants the ball, but not the responsibility of having it.

We do that on throw ins too. Porro gets really annoyed when Johnson etc pretend to make an effort but never move to show for the ball.. schoolboy stuff sometimes

He simply didn't do enough, and that's because he really isn't quite the player we hoped he'd become with us. Currently he's our main creative midfielder, which is a big problem IMO.
It’s a massive massive issue
Add in that we are starting every game near enough with two wide forwards rather than wingers
And it’s all exasperated

Agreed.
My mate said it when Werner was resigned on loan, he commented that it was an early 'fold' on exactly what we were prepared to do. Essentially we chose to pay what, 7.5 mill for him for the season (wages) rather than sack him off and look for better? I will concede that the Odobert injury has not been ideal, what I will add is that I really have no idea how good he would've been this season.

As I said at the time, I assumed and still do, that Werner was a stop gap to help in games hence we needed to rush Odebert, Moore and Richy
Instead all 3 have been broken and we have flogged son to death on the left and Johnson on the right (side I’ve read that Johnson has played in every game for over a year and son hasn’t missed many games at all)
But if we have a squad where the only midfield creator is Maddison and now Kulu we lack options
My presence was and is Eze but that regularly gets laughed at
I do think Donley will be the man in a few years time

I think you'll remember me loudly wanting him as well as CF this summer. He'd have offered several different options too...

Yep
There were a few of us
But money is limited
Fans have to remember that
The club can’t just find money that doesn’t exist unless owners put it in, which ENIC don’t
And they ain’t going away
So the current model is the way to go
But it’s fudging painful
We have a legacy debt for failed transfers
We have an ongoing debt for new signings
And we haven’t sold well historically
We have to sell about £40m again this summer imo to help balance the books
