The transfer thread

I've seen him quite a few times down the years, good defender. Comfortable on the ball, decent pace and reads the game well. Hope we get him.

Wikipedia claims he's quick and plays well in a high line, and is comfortable on the ball with both feet.

Who am I to tell, as I've barely registered his name before today, but it does sound promising.

And we definitely need another CB.
He had a little spell in the England team about 5 years ago. Played at LB rather than CB though

Do you think he's good enough technically to play inverted full back for us?

If so seems like a good move. If not, probably still a good move.

Would bring some experience too.

The invertedness will be easy, because he's right footed. Technically, i guess. He's not Udogie or Spence, but his pace will bring a different asset. He'd be a decent option for Udogie's rotation.

Surely finding out if a player is interested is the prerequisite to putting in an actual bid?

He might have been interested when talks first started, plenty could happen between them and making a final decision.

Other clubs coming in, or using us to get more interest. Not being convinced of the talks that happened.

This is where all the fan negativity doesn’t help.

People understand an injury crisis and anomaly league placing. But a club where the fans want both the owners out and the manger out is toxic and divisive.

Many of us are unhappy with the current situation but don't see getting rid of everyone is a simple or easy solution. I've supported this club for almost 70 years and have never booed anyone at the club and I've seen plenty of terrible teams and performances along with relegation, if they don't like what they see they should go somewhere that gives them what they want.

If I were a famous young player I would see spurs as a great stepping stone.

My main concern will be the bunch of coaches who I have to Google about to find out who they are.
