The transfer thread

This is where all the fan negativity doesn’t help.

People understand an injury crisis and anomaly league placing. But a club where the fans want both the owners out and the manger out is toxic and divisive.

It’s not the fans’ fault should players not want to come. There are other factors at play.

If we're scraping the barrel for attackers I'd rather we waited until the summer and focussed on getting another defender in.

No point buying rubbish for the sake of it imo (Garnacho)

Yep we need to do proper scouting (data assisted) then trust the scouts and go for those players.

Obviously a competent coach would then be needed to mould them into a team.

I'm looking forward to the window shutting. I've not yet got the faith in the club not to panic and make some bad decisions that they will regret down the line.

We're currently looking at a Serie A, 7th place in the league, bench player.

We need to get Dibling signed and joining us on July 1st. If that can't happen, then sit on our wallets.

Do other Prem teams have 5 famous coaches?
They work as a team. And have drills and games that are integrated to work the whole.

We haven't been good in defence, midfield and attack (given the resources we pour up front) , have too many injuries, youngsters are filling gaps instead of playing to their strengths. I don't think we look attractive as a project at all

Tomori would be a good signing and CB is the weakest area of our squad numbers wise and the area we've consistently picked up injuries under Ange which I think is a lot to do with the instructions to push high then turn and cover if the opposition break the line.

Although again I look at it from Tomori's view point and it's like: I'm getting pushed out at AC Milan but if I go to Spurs, as soon as Romero and VDV are fit, I won't play. So why would he want to come here?

I think the best move we could make is try and find a couple of Naybet or Llorente types who are content to come in and out the first team and will provide valuable supplemental experience to a very young squad.

Tomori doesn't need to displace Romero or VdV, he needs to displace a child midfielder playing CB, a great servant of the club in the autumn/winter if his career, a very hot and cold defender who's agent is seeing someone different from me, or a LB who's injured and form isn't great.

If he doesn't back himself to get in the team regularly against that backdrop, then I don't see why we would want him.

I dont think he's worried about competition, He's probably more worried about going from Milan where he just won a trophy to going to the bottom of the PL. I'd weigh up my options for a few days too lol

He might be advised that VDV gets injured quite a bit and Romero could potentially leave in the summer?.
