For me the 14 in italics all need to be moved on permanently this window

It's appalling squad management that we've got in this situation. It's harming the club and its harming careers

Scarlett and Devine are 19, and Parrott and White are 21 - stop acting as if they’re older players who have to be part of the first team or sold permanently.

For rodon we will have got a loan fee aswell.

Ccv we actually used to make a bit money from him from his loans.

I'd prefer sales though.

All true

- We would all prefer sales
- Loans take the wages off the books and gets the unhappy/unused player out of dressing room
- Loan fee model works, as you mentioned CCV made us money

They are in the first team squad though, not the academy any more. It's not about EPL rules, it's about pathways. They need to be dealt with - played, sold or loaned, the same as Tanganga and Sessegnon and the rest. A good squad has 22 senior players, then 4-5 of this ilk making up the bench/being integrated into cup games. But we need to clear out the 10+ bed blockers in front of them to make that happen.

They are not considered over 21 and will not be a part of the 25 man squad we register to the prem for next season if they did stay. They are not considered senior players.

They'll be loaned anyway.

Bet we are subsidising Rodon's wages still. Like we will with all the rest.

I don’t think he is on very high wages.

The wages we do need to get off the books is Ndombele if he has no future here. He has a book value of £10m, I think, and a salary liability of £10m. If he doesn’t go he will cost us £20m over the season.

We aren’t going to find anyone willing to take Sessegnon or Gil while they are injured. So going to be stuck with their wages. If either don’t make the 25 man squad but are going to be back before Christmas might be worth seeing if a championship team will take one on loan at no cost so they can get minutes when they are fit.

But I'm pretty sure every team has 19-21 year-old players from the academy who need to be loaned before they break into the first team or get sold - it's inherent in having an academy. So I just don't think it's fair or accurate to include them in 'appalling squad management'. (And personally I think it's fine for White and Parrott to be loaned again rather than sold permanently).

Obviously that still leaves a lot of other deadwood to shift, so I don't disagree with you or anyone else there - just don't think we need to make it sound even more extreme by including 19-21 year-olds.

Think fans need to stop thinking of Perisic as a LB, there’s no way in the world Ange would play him there, that was just a Conte brainwave.

Perisic is an option as a wide forward and a very good one at that IMO. If he wants to stay and we get no bid for him then I’d 100% keep him.

He does have a good cross on him but we have better options at wide forward and youngsters who need game time. He's rumoured to be on 190K a week so I'd get rid and save the money.

Rodon going to Leeds on loan

Can we really not find someone to buy him for £2-3m, we paid what £5m for him so that would seem fair. I actually feel sorry for him, he had a good reputation before and never got a chance. Needs to move permanently for the sake of his career.

But that's the rub....unless you can find a club who can give Perisic a package that's equivalent to 190k a week...why would he move?

Did you not see that list of Spurs players wages?...Rodon was embarrassingly low.

It's a buyers' market though. Leeds might just have offered us a special edition Cluedo and 6 bags of Jelly Tots, and we jumped at it because there aren't any parking spacing or lockers left for van der Ven or Veliz
