Davies spent 8 years in Swansea's academy before turning pro so it means nothing that he also spent a couple of years in Denmark.

I'm sure this was explained last time it came up.
But Swansea is in Wales, we play in England. That's why I thought he wasn't HG.
But it seems that's ok now.

None of them have much value, save maybe Hojbjerg. What are we talking?:

Lloris - £0
Spence - £10m
Reguilon - £7m
Sessegnon - £7m
Perisic - £0
Rodon - £5m
Tanganga - £5m
Sanchez - £10m
Hojbjerg - £25m
Ndombele - £10m
Gil - £15m

Now that's £100m combined, which is significant. But nobody surely is hanging on to deadline day to get Tanganga for £4m, rather than £5M?
I think Perisic stays and will play an important role.
Skippy was saying how they've been working a lot of Perisic crossing in from the left and the no.8 making a run into the box.
Could be like the Poyet days again!

More important to do our incoming business though no? Last season we did it within the first 32 days of the window, so quick. The fact that some didnt work out wasn't timing of our business.

The fact we have done a fair old bit of our incoming now far outweighs getting rid of players, if they leave now or get dumped into areas of the club without squad numbers is far less important
True but last season we didn't upgrade the defence and bought players in positions we don't need.

We got a keeper in early but the new cb will take time to bed in. Over a season, the first game is as important as the last.

Timing is important. Getting the right deals in is crucial when every point matters and you can see in the charity shield that arsenal is ready for the new season and probably why they overpaid to get players in early

I thought arsenal looked plodding in the charity shield
And we know that friendlies aren’t a measure of a club
We will see how teams are really set up once Europe kicks in

The 'big one' is Ndombele. Over 10m a year on wages. Shift him for nothing, and we can sign another player. Even subsidising his wages might be worthwile for a year. Would love to see him succeed here, but I think we know it is never happening now. What a cataclysmic signing.

I think Hojbjerg is more. £35m + wages, for a player we dont need to replace (due to the development of Skipp and Sarr)

We pretty much need to shift a player out every other day now until the window closes to get rid of all those we want out!

All that chat about being ruthless this summer and potentially tearing up contracts if needed etc.. yet we are sitting here with an even bigger squad than we finished the season with lol!

Still time I suppose, but we really need to get to work, especially if we also want to bring in another 2 or 3 too

I imagine any tearing up or paying up of players will come in the final week of the window

Son captain but cuti and maddison as vice captains? Dier and hojbjerg out the door?

Well PEH has been linked away all summer and Dier appears to not be in Ange's plans going by comments regarding needing another CB
