Sick sick world what is wrong with people

Did you know Islam is considered a mental disorder in China

Protesting is also considered a mental disorder with nunerous accounts of people criticising the government getting sectioned, beaten and medicated.

Are you generally a fan of the ccp's actions?

Ah the old he is mad, has mental health issues, excuses for what he did

There are never excuses of course. But there are reasons. And facts. Both are facts. What he did was evil and he is mentally ill.

No he is evil, did you read what he did, what he had in his room, he should not be on this earth anymore, he doesn't deserve a life

I would not dare to argue with a personal opinion. This is yours.

What I don't get is he got a lot of his knives from amazon
Now he is under 18
I ordered a craft knife from Amazon last week, when it arrived I had to give my DOB and my ID
How did he get his parcels without somebody over the age in his house taking the parcel from the driver

I think those are excellent questions to ask and have answered...along with why his parents were ignored when they did look for help/try to flag things they felt were not right.

I am not sure whether you saw this article, but I think it hits at the heart of what needs to happen here. There is a particularly interesting thought posited that the author wonders whether authorities 'took their eyes off the ball' during covid19. Not an excuse but a reason? And if proven so, one step closer to an answer which can hopefully prevent this from happening again.

Good to be conversing about things like this, understanding perspectives, etc. The one thing we surely agree on is that it was an awful, almost demonic act of evil and that we all feel so so sorry for the poor victims and their parents.

and all the others who were there or saw the aftermath, people at the show, helpers, general public, emergency services I hope they get all the help they need but they will be totally scarred for life

For clear cut no doubt the person arrested is the right one like the crime committed in Southport
The death penalty should be brought back
It will cost millions to keep that rat clam safe in jail for the next however many years
He doesn't deserve that protection, he should be put to death for those horrific crimes and put to death as slowly and painfully as possible
Circa £50k pa for a prisoner. He'll probably just be on the vulnerable prisoners wing.
Appx £2.5m (based on 50 years and excl inflation)

In general I'm anti death penalty. But there is a very narrow window where the guilt is so definite and crime so evil that it might be right.

That said, someone made a good point - the death penalty is a lot easier sentence than life imprisonment.

I have philosophical questions - what is the point in keeping him in prison for life? What is the purpose of his life now? Prison is for public protection, with the goal of reintegration into society. Well, the public are protected by him being behind bars. But there is no scope for rehabilitation into society.

Perhaps the only hope is that he becomes a better human and helps in prison?
I do wonder if he should be phycologically studied. I'm 50/50 about whether his no remorse comments and court actions have some truth in or are just manipulation.

He wasn't born evil. He doesn't seem to have experienced any specific childhood trauma to get there. I do think it might be important to understand how & why he got to where he did.
