What evidence do you expect?

Do you think Jess Phillips is going to stand up in the Commons and say that the reason she won't put her considerable weight behind a full enquiry is that she'd rather keep the Muslim vote in her constituency than help vulnerable children?

I think even Labour MPs are marginally too smart for that.
 
They had a 7 year full enquiry and the Tories failed to implement anything from it. People bang on about governments wasting money - shouldn't we implement the findings from the very recent last full enquiry before going over it all again?

A number of people involved in these things have said local enquiries are more effective anyway for real change in those locations.

I agree there should be an enquiry into police conduct in these situations .

You want to belittle Jess Phillips, in a similar manner to Elon Musk, without recognising the significant work she has done for vulnerable women and children throughout her career to try and substantiate a weak political point scoring whinge.

The whole point of inquiries is to ensure that nobody of note are blamed or bought to book and state that lessons have been learnt.

There was a very limited enquiry. There is still a need for one with a far wider scale.

It would cost a fraction of any one of Rachel Reeves's many mistakes - almost nothing in govt terms.

I don't doubt that Jess Phillips will do the right thing if and when it coincides with getting elected. But when such decisions are at odds with winning votes, those issues appear to have no value whatsoever.

She's obviously never going to say that. Even Labour cretins aren't that stupid.

But there's no downside to an enquiry. In govt expenditure terms it costs nothing. There are only upsides. Unless, of course, you have to answer to people who don't want an enquiry to happen.

He might wish to escape that type of voting. That doesn't mean everyone does, can or will.

I wonder how many women in a similar situation could strike out on their own to start a political campaign and break block voting.

I'm adamant in that the speed of the way the worlds moved and how people consume the media and social media x the lack of mental support, awareness and understanding..........we are in some really dark times as a world.

Genuinely (without going out with a sandwich board and bell) believe we are fcuked even below medium term. The world is eating itself recently
