The Official 2015/16 Premier League Thread

Now Spurs come on and take full advantage and lets go 4th tomorrow. With the correct combination of results (although very doubtful), we have the chance to go top on Boxing Day night.
What a Christmas present that would be.
But, as we all know, one step at a time. In the past we have slipped up when given chances like this. This season we are starting to 'buck' that trend a little. Hopefully that continues tomorrow and we end the weekend ahead of United on Goal difference (when was the last time that phrase was used)

Oh-ho let's not tempt providence eh?

Tbh I did say hopefully. I am never 100% confident of anything with Spurs, due to too many false dawns and letdowns.

Any other club's fans would probably be think a home win nailed-on when playing a team in the bottom 3. I and many more can't be so totally confident

Fair dos.

we are a different side under Poch, the only thing that can stop us getting a result is some kind of keeper wonder show like we saw from Krul a couple of seasons ago

GHod, I remember that match. Wasnt that the season there was a few. Think Myhill had one too and Hart in the opening match (or was that a different season)

Villa have been left to rot by the owner!

Very sad, it must be heartbreaking for the fans.

They are a shambles all over the pitch. Guzan coming for a cross is a real comedy moment!

Wow, WTF did Captain Bellend do to that team?

Watching that match it was genuinely difficult to convince myself that they used to be professional footballers. I don't say this lightly as I'm under no misconception about my own footballing ability, but I could have played that last 15 mins significantly better than Sanchez did.

criminal decision, they are all about 12 yards on

the fudging thieves have probably threatened to rob the refs house

Remi Garde just sits there during the game, doesn't show any emotion, doesn't bark out any instructions to players or even go in his technical area, someone should tell him villa are bottom
